Happy Fall…and Soup Season from Coolbaker’s

It's soup season at Coolbaker'sDon’t let the door hit ya on the way out, summer 2011. We’ve had just about enough heat and humidity for one season, so we’re welcoming fall with open arms…and pot-loads of fresh, homemade soup and chili.

If there’s one thing that can comfort a cold office on a chilly fall day, it’s soup. The official first day of fall was Friday, September 23, so we thought now would be a perfect time to introduce our soups for the season. But first, did you know that evidence of the existence of soup can be found as far back as 6,000 BC? The first condensed soup, however, was invented by John T. Dorrance, a chemist with the Campbell Soup Company, in 1897.

While everyone knows and loves Campbell’s for a number of reasons, fresh soups are always the way to go. So instead of bringing a can of your own to work, consider ordering in…from Coolbaker’s. We will proudly be serving up the following selections during fall and winter.

  • Loaded Baked Potato Soup
  • Home Style Chicken Noodle Soup
  • Spicy White Chicken Chili

They’re yummy, satisfying, and go great with a side salad, sandwich, or wrap.

Don’t send the intern out on a cold day to pick up food for the office (even he deserves to stay warm). Order from us and we’ll deliver your order to you on time, every time.

What do Fall and Coolbaker’s Have in Common?

Fresh food delivered on timeWhat in the world does a business-to-business catering company have in common with one of the four seasons? Aside from being, well, cool, there are plenty of things we share with this awesome time of the year.

Here are a few of them:

  • Crowd pleasing. Almost everyone I know loves autumn for one reason or another. Maybe it’s because college football is starting and people are gearing up for Halloween festivities and upcoming holidays. People who have tried us love our crowd-pleasing choice of sandwiches, salads, breakfast, and desserts. Menu options everyone has heard of and food that most everyone loves.
  • Perfect colors. Yes, I’m talking about the leaves and the changing color outside. Luckily, though, the ingredients we use never change color, it would be a bad thing if they did. That’s why you’ll always see fresh—and perfectly colored—lettuce, tomatoes, meat, bread, and cheese.
  • Always on time. Fall is like clockwork each year, rarely late to appear. The same can be said for our delivery drivers. We deliver your food on time, every time.

See, you didn’t think it was possible, but we actually have plenty in common with fall. And by the way, now’s a perfect time to give us a try if you haven’t yet. We deliver whether it’s cold or freezing cold outside, and we always deliver on time. Love fall? How could you not love us too?

We won’t call it perfect…but darn near!

Don’t ya just love when things work out the way they should? You know, like when you’re promised something and it’s actually carried through?

When we say that we deliver your food on time, every time, we’re not just pulling your chain or trying to make ourselves look good. We actually do deliver food on time, every time. Ok, so maybe not every single time (come on, no one is perfect). But when you look at the math (yes, we actually did the math) our deliveries are on time 99.9975% of the time. So no, it’s not a perfect delivery rate, but pretty darn close. And close enough that we can confidently say that your food will be delivered on time, every time.

So now that I’m thinking about it, here are some things that are more likely to happen than us being late (and yep, this is the idioms and adynaton portion):
• Pigs will fly
• It will truly rain cats and dogs
• A snowball actually has a chance in…well you get it

Because we believe successful businesses need to measure everything and not just eyeball, we take measurement and automation serious. That means we track and monitor the order from the time of placement until the hand-off to you. And in the rare event that one of our deliveries is running late, we’ll let you know, because customer service is another thing we’re serious as a heart attack about.

Here’s how we accomplish everything we just said: we focus on planning ahead. From the way we prep orders to the time we leave the store with the delivery, everything is planned. The interesting thing is that because of our efficiency, we can take orders that other boxed lunch and business catering companies would have to reject. What do we mean? Well, when the head cheese says we have an impromptu luncheon at noon today and we need food ordered in, Coolbaker’s doesn’t say we need 24 hours. We always strive to be able deliver with only a two-hour notice. We’ve catered some large events with small lead times.

Think this is just a bunch of bologna? We dare you to try it. Because we don’t serve bologna.

On time delivery...no bologna
